Registration for this year’s unionlearn Annual Conference is now open.

The 2019 workplace learning and skills event will be held on July 11 at the Congress Centre in the TUC’s central London headquarters. This year’s theme will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Union Learning Fund.

Unionlearn service team manager Ian Borkett said: “It is a great pleasure to extend an invitation to you to attend unionlearn’s thirteenth annual conference.”

“As well will be celebrating two decades of supporting learners through the Union Learning Fund the conference will also reflect on our achievements, including the annual Union Learning Rep awards and look ahead to key priorities such as negotiating more high-quality apprenticeships and helping young people make the transition into work or further training.”

A broad agenda will focus on skills development through learning of individuals and communities, meeting the needs of a modern workforce, and supporting high quality apprenticeships to boost social justice, productivity and the UK skills base.

The conference is a chance to celebrate the work of unionlearn and unions over the past year as well as looking forward to the year ahead.

Speakers confirmed so far include: TUC general secretary Frances O’Grady and Anne Milton MP, Minister of State for Skills and Apprenticeships.
