CWU lodges High Court appeal

The CWU has lodged an appeal over the High Court’s decision to rule its Royal Mail strike ballot invalid.

CWU members last month voted 97.1% for strike action on a 75.9% turnout, but Royal Mail took the union to court, claiming the union had interfered with the ballot process. Amid huge controversy, the High Court ruled in favour of the company.

Now the union has announced it has lodged an appeal with the High Court against that decision.
