Four trade union officials arrested yesterday

Four trade uni0n officials were yesterday arrested in two separate incidents.

Three GMB officials – organiser Gary Palmer, FTO Declan MacIntyre and a local rep –  were taken from a Biffa in Wealden, Sussex Police, and  RMT Belfast Shipping Branch secretary Danny McQuaid was apprehended at a demonstration against P&O at Larne Harbour

The three GMB officials were accused of obstructing the highway and were bailed to appear in court at Hastings on June 29.  Danny McQuaid was released without charge.
