TUFAC produces solidarity T-shirt to raise funds for sacked P&O workers

The Trade Union Football and Alcohol Committee has designed a T-shirt to support trade union members sacked by P&O.

800 workers employed by the Dubai-based DP World company were yesterday sacked over Zoom. The affected unions, Nautilus and RMT, have called demonstrations today in Dover, Hull and Liverpool.

TUFAC has speedily designed and put on sale a T-shirt to show solidarity with the workers. Proceeds from the sales will be split between Nautilus and RMT. Due to the high volume of orders, and due to the fact TUFAC makes each item to order, it is estimated most people will have their T-shirts within five to eight days from order.

A TUFAC spokesperson said: “P&O are disgusting. What a way to treat people and what a time to do it. It’s heartless beyond belief. It will not go unpunished.”
