unionlearn announces study skills webinar

unionlearn is on Thursday to run a webinar focusing on how to improve your study skills at a time when most learning is now being done online and at a distance.

A statement from unionlearn reads: “With the lockdown now might be the best time to return to the world of learning to improve your skills. But most of the learning on offer these days is online and that poses some problems:

  • You’ve never learned online before!
  • Surely you need a teacher to help guide you through?!
  • You struggled to learn in school so how can you expect to succeed now when there is even less support?!

“Valid concerns, but are they real and, if they are, can they be solved?”

The session is being run by projects officer Matt Pointon, who has many years of experience in adult education and also delivers a number of short taster courses in workplaces. He will be joined by Jo Cain, Director of Education at the WEA & Sal Campbell, Learning Development Tutor at Birkbeck, University of London.

The webinar is on Thursday May 7 at 2pm. You can book your free place here.
